About Gea
From geology to inhabited space
Ezarri groups the eight Gea colours into three families. Mineral Origin (Limestone, Grit and Dune) takes its tones from earth and sediment. Structural Memory (Chalk, Slate and Basalt) is a range of greys inspired by rock. Living Landscape (Flint and Moss) brings in soft greens from vegetation and the landscape.
All Gea mosaics have a matt finish, carry the Safe Steps R11 slip resistant finish as standard and use JointPoint sheets. Ezarri also makes Corner and Cove pieces and a Hexa format for Gea; ask us about those.

How to order Gea tile
Four steps from measuring to a complete order.
1. Measure
Add up walls, floor, steps and benches in square feet, or let the Pool Tile Calculator do it.
2. Choose your colour
Open a colour and order boxes. Samples are not available for Gea, so call 1-800-866-0695 if you want help choosing.
3. Order whole boxes
Tile is sold by the box: 21.5 sq ft (13 sheets) for 25 mm and 15.6 sq ft (10 sheets) for 50 mm. Prices on the cards are per sq ft, so round up to whole boxes.
4. Add grout and adhesive
Plan one 2.5 kg container of Starlike Pro epoxy grout for every box of 25 mm tile; for 50 mm, call us to size it. Set it with PowerGel S1+ on concrete.

Which grout for Gea?
For 25 mm, plan one 2.5 kg container of Starlike Pro epoxy grout for every box. For 50 mm the amount depends on joint width, so call us. Starlike Pro is $160 per 2.5 kg.
The table lists the joint colour Ezarri suggests for each Gea tile and the closest Starlike Pro colour we stock. Basalt uses 12 Nero Antico, which we stock. For the other shades the match is made from product photos and screens vary, so call us before you order grout if you want the exact Ezarri joint colour.

What to buy with your Gea tile
Adhesive
On concrete, set glass mosaic with PowerGel S1+ ($130, 20 kg), a white flexible adhesive rated for freeze and thaw. For a waterproof epoxy bond use PowerGel Pro Max ($160, 5 kg), and waterproof the shell first with SafetyGel ($320, 10 kg).
Epoxy grout
Plan one 2.5 kg container of Starlike Pro epoxy grout for every box of 25 mm tile. Starlike Pro is $160 per 2.5 kg in 19 colours. Why epoxy grout for pools.
Tools

Are Gea tiles slip resistant?
Yes. Ezarri makes every Gea mosaic with its Safe Steps R11 slip resistant finish as standard, so all 16 tiles we list (8 colours in 25 mm and 50 mm) have it and there is no separate Safe version to choose.
What is Gea made from?
Gea is a matt glass mosaic made from recycled glass. The sheets use Ezarri’s JointPoint installation system for a faster and more durable installation.
Which sizes and colours are there?
Eight colours in three families: Limestone, Grit and Dune (Mineral Origin), Chalk, Slate and Basalt (Structural Memory), and Flint and Moss (Living Landscape). Each colour comes in 25 mm (1 x 1 in, 13 sheets or 21.5 sq ft per box) and 50 mm (2 x 2 in, 10 sheets or 15.6 sq ft per box).

How many boxes do I need?
Measure your walls, floor and steps, add about 10% for cuts, then divide by 21.5 sq ft for 25 mm or 15.6 sq ft for 50 mm and round up. Our Pool Tile Calculator does the math for you.

What does “Available on backorder” mean?
Gea is a special order collection. You can still order it, but it is not in stock right now. Call 1-800-866-0695 or contact us for the current lead time before you order.
How much is shipping?
Shipping is calculated at checkout from the weight of your order and your postal code. In stock orders of $1,000 or more ship free in Canada. When your whole order, in stock and special order together, is $5,000 or more and includes special order tile, your entire order ships free in Canada. We ship within Canada only (customers in the USA can order from PoolTile.us), and a minimum shipping charge of $39 applies to small orders in Canada.
